This is one of those days that stays with you. I

This is one of those days that stays with you.

I recently delivered 506 pairs of socks to @quincycope COPE (Community Offering People Encouragement), an incredible organization that goes out every week to serve people experiencing homelessness.

They provide food, clothes, toiletries, blankets and whatever people need. But more than that, they offer kindness and connection.

I got to meet so many amazing volunteers 💙 We talked, laughed, and even shared a few hugs. Hearing their stories and seeing their compassion firsthand was something I won’t forget. They were so grateful, but honestly, I felt just as grateful to be there.

A special thank you to Mrs. Suzanne Fareri-Early and Mrs. Michele Hatfield for taking the time to speak with me and for everything they do for the community.

This delivery meant even more because my dad came with me. Being able to share this experience with him made it really special.

We even set up our next delivery before I left, so this is just the beginning.

And since September, i’ve delivered 5,102 pairs of socks to people in need

no team… zero funding ..no connections

just the decision to actually do something about it

because something as simple as socks isn’t small when you don’t have them. It’s warmth. It’s health, it’s dignity.

i’ve reached 13 community partners across greater Boston, and formed 4 business partnerships. All while I’m still just a junior in high school. I’m really proud of that.

But this didn’t happen alone. Every single pair came from people like you who chose to help, donate, and care.

we’re halfway to 10,000.

so if you’re seeing this… Be one of those people who helps make the next 5000 pairs happen! 💙🧦

Do people really care? That’s a question too many

Do people really care?

That’s a question too many people facing homelessness silently carry.

Yesterday, I had the privilege of delivering to the @shcinc Somerville Homeless Coalition and the answer I saw was yes. A thousand times yes.

I spent time speaking with Mr. Michael Conlan and Cathleen, learning about the work they do and the community they serve every single day. It’s not just about resources, it’s about showing up, consistently, for people who are too often overlooked.

There’s something powerful about being in a place where people are treated with dignity, where names matter, where stories matter.

This isn’t just a drop-off.
It’s a reminder: people care. I care.

And I’m not stopping. 10,000 pairs is the goal 💙

Boxes everywhere, piles of socks, deliveries coming in and out.

And somehow we make it work.

Thanks for all the support and the space, and your handy camera work mom, I couldn’t do this without you.

Behind every 4,000 plus pairs delivered, there’s my mom….who said yes to turning her home into part of the mission.

One message turned into this.

762 pairs of socks collected by Mr. and Mrs. Hammond, Ms Gillian Stott , and their incredible group of friends who decided to do something for people they may never ever meet.

I had the chance to meet Mr. and Mrs. Hammond yesterday, and they were genuinely some of the kindest and most thoughtful people. I feel really lucky to have met them. 💙

This is what Project Socks is really about.

I didn’t spend my day off from school today catching up on sleep.

I spent it thinking about people who don’t have what most of us never think twice about.

Today I delivered 500 pairs of socks to Pine Street Inn.

When I first started Project Socks, I called shelters across the city and asked what they needed most.

Over and over again, I heard the same thing:

“Socks.”

It’s easy to overlook, until you’re the one without them.

Cold days. Long walks. No clean pair to change into.

That’s what these 500 pairs are for.

Real people. Real need.

I’m honored to be part of the 17th Annual Archdiocese of Boston Social Justice Convocation this year.

Since starting Project Socks as a teenager, I’ve learned something simple but powerful:
one small item can make a big difference.

Shelters still tell me socks are one of the most needed and least donated items.

I walked into Haley House over February break to deliver 500 pairs of socks.

I got to stand in the kitchen where meals are served.

The space where our neighbors sit.

I had the chance to speak with Ms. Soltys about how Haley House shows up every single day, with consistency, dignity, and compassion.

it reminded me of something simple. When you don’t have basic essentials, nothing feels small.

Yesterday after school I delivered 315 pairs of socks to VA Boston Healthcare System in West Roxbury, in support of our veterans receiving care there.

I had the chance to speak with Mr. T and learn how socks play a role far beyond comfort. They represent consistency, dignity, and an ongoing commitment to veterans who are in the hospital and also the veterans navigating homelessness while receiving care.

So very grateful to be able to support those who have served.🇺🇸💙🧦

I’m 17. I started Project Socks all by myself.

No staff. No pay. No help (except my awesome mom who documents my journey). Just me and a box full of socks.

Since September, I’ve donated 1,264 pairs of socks to people who really needed them:

Friends of Boston’s Homeless
The Colin Gaynor Project
Boston Rescue Mission
Women’s Lunch Place

That’s 1,264 people who didn’t have to go without something basic.

I did it all, with your support.
